Rise Strong Staff

Beth Morrison
Founder / Health Coach
As a certified Health Coach from the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) certified Group Fitness Instructor, Beth supports people in their individual wellness journeys by facilitating sustainable habits in fitness and nutrition. She is passionate about creating a community where, collectively, we overcome challenges and celebrate accomplishments. Based on her past experience, she knows that such communities ultimately lead to a better quality of life. Beth started Rise Strong Coaching to help foster that community and because she believes all women need time to focus on themselves.

Melanie Smith
Instructor
Since leaving the corporate workforce as a career Marketer, Melanie recently obtained her AFAA Group Fitness and American Barre Technique certification. She has always enjoyed exercising for personal health and wellness but decided that being more involved in the fitness industry was a passion of hers. She taught Boot Camp and Barre for several years while living overseas in Shanghai and since returning to the U.S., still enjoys working with people to help achieve their fitness goals.
Hearing her clients say how ‘much stronger they feel’ or ‘how much better their clothes fit’ tells her that she is making a difference and that’s why she does what she does. She and her husband and 2 daughters live in New Jersey.

Lisa Peterson
Instructor
Lisa has always been passionate and involved in the fitness and wellness industry. She taught her first class at the age of 17 and hasn’t looked back, having since taught all over the world from California, Kentucky and Utah to Shanghai and Thailand. Most days you can find Lisa sweating it out at a heated yoga class, walking on the beach and going to lunch with friends, and spending time with her family. She is mostly known for her love for her family, holistic medicine and exercise practices, and healthful foods with the occasional Oreo cookie.
Lisa enjoys living in South Carolina. She has a wonderful husband, 4 boys, 2 daughter-in-laws and a sweet grandson with one more on the way. Lisa loves serving the world by volunteering at local schools, with her church, and guiding senior citizens through restorative and strengthening chair yoga. She is most passionate about being a grandma to her 2-year-old grandson. When she’s not reading books and chasing him around the park, she loves to teach her favorite vinyasa yoga flows accompanied by great music to people from all walks of life. As a certified yoga teacher, kickboxing instructor and life coach, Lisa believes that it is in working on our mind as well as our body that we are able to best create the results we want in all areas of our lives.
